North Trip Part one: The Lake District

All of last week was a five day trip going up North. Our goal was to slowly work our way up to Scotland and back down. It was the most beautiful road trip ever. I have never seen such green hills with so many yellow flowers and sheep on it before. One of our first stops was at Preston where we got to see the Preston temple.
It was pretty funny seeing the reaction to some of the missionaries' faces as 35 girls come walking out of a bus haha.

After a short stop in Preston, we worked our way to the Lake District where we would stop and stay at a hostel for two nights.
This is the view of William Wordsworth's cottage. We were standing in his backyard.
This is the view of the lack that was just outside our hostel.

This is me and another girl named Rachel. We had to take a picture because we were practically matching.

This is a picture of the hostel.
The next day, we had a choice to tour a cottage or go on a hike. I chose to go on the hike. Most of us were not really dressed for a hike, but we assumed it wouldn't be too strenuous. We were wrong. When we arrived at the beginning of the trail, my teacher said, "see that mountain up there? We are going to climb to the top of that." We all thought he was making a joke. He wasn't. We literally walked straight up the entire time.
We were dying. Some of us would pretend to stop and take pictures of the scenery, but we really were doing was taking a break for a couple of seconds so we could stop sweating haha. But I actually did get some cool pictures.

I accidentally took a picture of the ground, but I thought it had a fun pattern and turned out pretty cool.

This is the view when we were almost to the top of the mountain.

This is me and Lorin at the top. Luckily, it is dark so you don't have to see how gross we look haha.

When we were done with the hike, we went and got toasties (it's what the Brits call paninis).
Some pictures of the lake just before we left.
